“This vacancy is under the Career Conversion Programme for Social Workers.

Are you a passionate and dedicated individual with a keen interest in family work?

We are searching for a curious and empathetic listener, a creative collaborator, a patient learner, and a resilient worker who is willing to purposefully grow with who they serve.

As an Associate, Social Worker working with families and children, you will play a vital role providing families support and collaborating with systems in navigating challenges to promote development. You will use your training and expertise to assess and identify the needs of clients and develop appropriate interventions. Your focus will be on working with children and families affected by incarceration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individual and family counseling sessions
- Develop excellent rapport with clients and partners
- Conduct regular home visits and case conferences.
- Conduct group work or family play sessions.
- Conduct evidenced assessments, develop and execute care plans.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive services to clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.

**Requirements**:
Must meet requirements for SUSS admission.

For Bachelor of Social Work
- GCE ‘A’ level with two passes (prior to 2007) or two H2 passes (from 2007);
- Local Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent;
- NUS High School Diploma or SSI Diploma in Social Services

For Graduate Diploma in Social Work
- Undergraduate Degree or an equivalent from a recognised institution
- Have at least 2 years’ full-time working experience (excluding NS, internships, and any other part-time/ad hoc jobs taken on)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (Proficiency in Malay is an added advantage)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
