**Overview of the Opportunity**

ArtScience Museum is recruiting a new Officer for our Education team.

ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands is the cultural institution in Singapore that explores the intersection between art, science, technology and culture. Since opening in February 2011, we have staged large-scale exhibitions by some of the world’s major artists, including Leonardo da Vinci, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Vincent Van Gogh, and M.C. Escher, as well as showing work by contemporary artists including Theo Jansen, Lynette Wallworth, Ryoji Ikeda, Yang Yongliang, Semiconductor, Olafur Eliasson, Anish Kapoor, Mariko Mori and many more. The museum has also presented significant exhibitions that explore aspects of science, including big data, particle physics, natural history, marine biology, cosmology and space exploration.

The Education team within the Programmes Department is responsible for developing and implementing a full programme of education, events, activities and interactive opportunities for a wide range of audiences. These include:

- A education programme offerings to schools, community and corporate groups that includes but not limited to guided tours, educational resources, education events to engage stakeholders, online and onsite workshops;
- A public education programme for a range of museum visitors that includes but not limited to guided tours and demonstrations, creative workshops and masterclasses;
- Family Fridays: increased provision for families every Friday, where up to four children can visit for free for every single paying adult;
- Outreach events such as conferences, talks and seminars to promote ArtScience Museum’s programmes and professional practices.

The Programme team is also responsible for a broad range of public programmes, including screenings, performances, talks and conferences, festivals and conceptual collaborations and in-gallery activities, such as live music, dance and poetry recitals. The two sub-teams, education and public programmes within the Programmes team have a rich opportunity to cross-pollinate their interests and develop new projects together.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated, self-starter who will hold a key role within the Education team. The individual will be the first point of contact for ArtScience Museum’s group bookings, and will have the ability to communicate effectively ArtScience Museum’s Programme offerings to a diverse range of people like educators, community representatives, corporate employees and other stakeholders from a broad range of organistions. The individual will work with a range of internal stakeholders to facilitate promotion of public programmes to drive group bookings by schools, community, corporate and other tour organizers.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Be the first point of contact for group bookings and drive visitation to ArtScience Museum from schools, community and corporate groups in Singapore and the region.
- Manage all group bookings related end-to-end processes such as administration, information, customer service and communication.
- Maintain accurate administrative records, regularly updated data and customer information, necessary to expand and retain clients and contribute to the optimization of systems where necessary.
- Work closely with the other departments to activate promotions and other marketing activities in a timely manner to drive group booking and meet targets.
- Work closely with the other teams such as Finance, Ticketing and Box Office or Marketing departments to ensure administrative efficiency of group bookings.
- Initiate and manage the development and implementation of relevant events and projects to promote group bookings of the museum offerings.
- Support special projects and programmes as opportunity arises.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- At least 2 years of experience working, preferably in a group booking or attractions ticketing setting.
- Experience carrying out the promotional and administrative responsibilities to drive the sale of tickets or group booking targets within a dynamic setting in Singapore.
- Strong awareness and interest in the Public Programmes and Education in Singapore.
- The ability to set realistic targets, execute tasks critical to achieving targets, and monitor progress regularly against set targets.
- Strong execution skills with ability to identify problems quickly and solve them with agility.
- Excellent proficiency in English.
- Ability to manage and execute numerous tasks with competing deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Competent in using technology at work such as MS Office (Excel/Project), online services and communication portals for administrative work.
