Our client, a top-tier Investment Bank, is engaged in developing systems that serve as a data integration and feeding platform. It deals with large volumes of data, interfaces with multiple other systems, and is exposed to different financial products including Equities and Fixed Income. The team also develops calculations of regulatory scenarios as requested by the Market Risk Department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop IT systems covering various aspects of the business run by the Fixed Income and Equities division.
- Work in close collaboration with business users and learn business concepts related to financial products and markets.
- Participate in every stage of the lifecycle of an IT system ranging from gathering requirements, refining user stories, designing solutions, and writing code.
- Work on a diverse technology landscape involving various programming languages (Java, Scala, Python), data management systems, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
- Tackle a wide array of technical and business problems ranging from developing data integration and feeding solutions to calculating regulatory scenarios.

**Qualifications**:

- 4 - 10 years of experience in designing and building highly resilient risk or data platforms using Java or Scala
- OOP design skills with an understanding or personal interest in the concepts of Functional Programming.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering, architecture, and data modeling.
- Experience in platforms like Databricks and Snowflake is a bonus.
- Willingness to learn and work with other languages and in-house developed frameworks.
- Prior experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, and the Scrum Agile methodology is an advantage.
- Prior knowledge of financial products is an advantage.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant IT/Engineering field is an advantage.
