**About the role**:
**_ Remote - APAC_**

The Engineering Manager is responsible for recruiting, building and leading her own Engineering team to deliver Horizons product roadmap, ensuring high quality of deliveries and high throughput of the team. The Engineer manager nurtures, grows and develops the Engineers in the team, lead by example by taking ownership, being proactive, solution-oriented and collaborative.

**Your main mission**:

- Recruit and build your own Engineering Team.
- Directly manage a team of Engineers (6~8).
- Lead by example by taking ownership, being proactive and collaborating.
- Get into the technical details where required to coach, support and mentor the team.
- Cooperate with other engineering teams for product roadmap implementation.
- Lead an engineering team to ensure the deliverables are on time with high quality.
- Nurture, grow and develop engineers in the team.
- Take active part in delivery management, constantly improve teamwork.
- Coach, mentor, and spread the word about our best practices inside and outside of Horizons.

**Your Day-to-Day**:

- Work in a team of talented individuals and be a leader for your team.
- Daily standup practice to keep everyone aligned and supported in their role.
- Decide your priorities and the technical direction of the team.

**What you bring**:
**Experience**:

- 7+ years of experience in the software industry and 2+ years as a Team leader.
- A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of developing and shipping software.
- Strong technical skills (coding & system design), you can get hands-on with your team if needed.
- Strong people management skills and team leadership and experience.
- Experience in implementing new processes in a team.
- Can define, implement and track team and individual KPIs.
- Excellent communication skill and are able to influence and cooperate with people at all levels.
- Experience working with an Agile** **ways, has project management skills is a plus.
- Have strong technical experience includes: Python, ReactJS, TypeScript, SQL and NoSQL, DevOps, AWS or other Cloud platform.
- Nice to have: experience in the Finance or HR industry
