Regional Logistics Operations Lead, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations or equivalent practical experience
- Experience managing outsourced logistics operations.
- Experience in program management and in Warehouse Management System (WMS) deployments
- Experience supporting, supply chain logistics, network/data center acquisition, data center infrastructure procurement, and/or data center operations.

Preferred qualifications:

- Master's degree in an engineering field, supply chain, or business intelligence.
- Experience with warehouse automation solutions.
- Ability to prepare and present detailed documented business cases to stakeholders and management.
- Ability to make recommendations/solutions based on data analysis, critical thinking and logic.
- Solid analytical skills, with ability to define and influence success metrics.
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and project management skills, using relevant information to make timely and critical decisions

**About the job**:
Google isn't just a software company. The Hardware Operations team is responsible for monitoring the state-of-the-art physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology. As an Operations Technician, you'll install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like Google's Linux cluster). You'll also address the configuration of more complex components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches and networking protocols. You'll participate in or lead small project teams on larger installations and develop project contingency plans. A typical day involves manual movement and installation of racks, and while it can sometimes be physically demanding, you are excited to work with infrastructure that is at the cutting-edge of computer technology.

You manage a team that ensures the quality installation of server hardware and components. You coordinate over multiple sites and take charge of complicated installations/troubleshooting.

As the Asia Pacific (APAC) Regional Lead for Logistics Operations for Google Cloud, you will be responsible for logistics activities across APAC including leadership and operational excellence for distribution operations. This includes warehousing, safety, security, spend management, inventory management, supporting warehouse automation, continuous improvement, and orchestrating excellence across our extensive and complex third-party logistics network across all the APAC regions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and develop a distributed team of logistics professionals across APAC.
- Ensure the right metrics are driving the right results for Logistics in serving our stakeholders with speed and efficiency through data analytics, business case development, and presentation skills including budget oversight.
- Lead and continuously improve all warehousing operations including receiving, shipping, inventory management, supporting warehouse automation including warehouse management systems, material requirements planning systems (MRP), and final mile delivery to the data centers/mini-clusters ensuring safety, security, quality and compliance is front and center.
- Establish and maintain strategic supplier management through an extensive complex third-party logistics provider network across APAC, proactively ensure capacity, resources and risk mitigation plans in place.
- Develop productive and meaningful relationships with all key internal business partners to innovate on key strategic programs to improve speed and quality of execution.
