Assistant Warehouse Manager, Air Freight

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the Air Freight warehouse.
- To ensure effective workflow, schedule and assign jobs to warehouse staff.
- Organize information with both internal and external stakeholders, such as air cargo terminals and customer service, freight planners, and export operations, and keep accurate shipping records.
- Maintain efficient internal controls over how incoming and outgoing shipments are handled in the air freight warehouse.
- Utilize automated machinery and software (such as conveyor dimensioning systems and FME) to optimize warehouse operations.
- Arrange shipments in the warehouse effectively by planning and optimizing the available space.
- Using inventory control systems and best practices, supervise the loading, storing, and incoming and outgoing shipment processes.
- Track and monitor warehouse KPIs for cost management, asset utilization, quality, customer interactions, and process optimization.
- To facilitate effective warehouse operations, make sure MHE is kept up.
- Oversee the rules and processes pertaining to safety, security, and health regulations.
- Create procedures for risk assessment, emergency response, disaster recovery, access control, and personnel and physical security in warehouse operations.
- Oversee change management and continuous improvement projects to save time, money, and improve quality.
- Using the defined KPI, track and evaluate the performance of the warehousing team.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree holder in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, preferably with at least five years of working experience.
- Experience in Air Freight Operations, Warehouse management & manpower management skills
- Aggressive, analytical, and detail-oriented in recognizing and resolving operational issues.
- A self-starter who is creative and inventive in promoting ongoing progress.
- Able to adjust to a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse environment while upholding efficiency, quality, and safety.
