**Executive Housekeeper**
**Summary of Responsibilities**:
- Prepare roster for the managerial team to ensure leadership coverage on all shifts
- Organize induction and on boarding program for new colleagues and trainees
- Take an active role in the planning, execution and monitoring of cleanliness and maintenance to ensure that Housekeeping areas are consistently maintained at high standards.
- Ensure compliance to local government Employment Regulations.
- Monitor and improve work safety standards to avoid any health and injury hazards occurring from malpractice.
- Ensure that the various contingency plans are adhered to by the department
- Attend the daily operations briefing as well as others meetings as required
- Communicate effectively with the Quality Team on objectives and goals in order to improve room quality
- Conduct room inspections to ensure high cleaning standards are upheld.
- Organize and participate in training sessions to equip Room Attendants and House Attendants with knowledge
- Work with engineering department to improve on functional operation of Guestrooms
- Review and update the labour budget and forecast to plan/fulfill manpower needs
- Work closely with Talent and Culture on hiring of full time hires and trainees
- Review and ensure monthly expenses always in line with the budget for monthly Profit and Loss Report
- Active participation in hiring, training, coaching, counseling and guidance to lead guest service using a Heartist® approach
- Build an effective team and develop a culture that promotes open communication, service excellence, teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, trust, mutual respect, colleague satisfaction and embracing diversity
- Ensure that the Housekeeping Department team projects a warm, professional and welcoming image and is well groomed at all times
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor Degree, Tertiary Education or Diploma in Hotel Courses Preferable
- Minimum 6 years of Housekeeping Management Experience ina 5-star Hotel Complex
- Pre-opening experience is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of PC skills, MS Office Applications and PMS
- Thorough knowledge of Housekeeping equipment and procedures
- Knowledge of local labor laws preferred
- Be service oriented with an eye for details
- Have excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and communicate with all levels of colleagues from diverse cultures
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
- Maintain professional, neat and well-groomed appearance
- Flexible and able to embrace change effectively
- Able to work independently in a dynamic environment
- Possess strong leadership qualities, sound judgment and decision making and problem-solving skills and with high integrity
