**Roles & Responsibilities**

International trade is a trillion-dollar business, with air freight representing ~35% of the addressable market. In Southeast Asia alone, the total market size is ~US$4B+, with sector growth driven by a once-in-a-generation opportunity; e-commerce penetration. E-commerce fulfillment in itself is already a US$2B+ space, growing ~30% per year. As an operator transporting cargo to over >110 airports across Asia, we are at the frontlines of this large, fast growing space.

This white space motivates us to redefine the way the supply chain operates, expand our suite of services to get closer to the end-customers, and to build products that empower both small business owners as well as large enterprises. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the operations of a business and someone who is willing to help put in the critical foundations at this early stage for us to scale effectively.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a leader within the organisation you can expect to

Manage P&L and co-operate to provide necessary reports e.g.: sales, budget etc.; ensure proper financial controls are in place and when budgeting focus on maximizing existing resources before investing in new ones

Manage stakeholders - both internal and external; stakeholders within the logistics space (3rd Party Logistics), and regulatory space (SATs, IATA, AOCs); and internal stakeholders i.e.: investors incl. our main stakeholder AirAsia

Provide leadership and guidance to the team - this will include making critical decisions on the regular to make sure progress continues and the teams keep motivated; teams range from executive to non-executive positions

Be the main liaison for the country in key management meetings, regulatory audits and key meetings with external stakeholders e.g.: customers, local authorities, airlines, Airport Management Companies, Service Providers etc.

Play an active role in training and developing the capabilities of your team; in addition to on-the-job coaching, co-ordinate with Group People & Culture on training arrangements especially for critical roles

Stay abreast with latest market trends, competitor moves and regulatory changes; promote the incorporation of best-practices in the company to safeguard against market threats and any potential risks

Maintain strong lines of communication with the HQ and invest in cross-country knowledge sharing for the overall growth of our business

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

10+ years work experience, at least 3+ years in a leadership role of a fast-growing logistics start up (Head and above)

Advanced degree (Master’s and above, STEM preferred) from a top tier institution i.e.: Ivy League, Cambridge, Oxford

Work experience in a top tier strategy consulting firm i.e.: McKinsey, Bain or BCG

Exposure to work across multiple countries in Southeast Asia
