We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Associate (BDA) to join our Financial Intermediary & Institutional Sales team.

The BDA position is an integral part of the sales team. You will work closely with the Business Development Managers (BDM) responsible for developing Capital’s intermediary and institutional businesses in South East Asia and the Senior BDAs on a day-to-day basis. Dedicated to sales support, this individual will be responsible for partnering and working closely with internal teams, e.g. investment specialists, investment products & services, marketing, and L&C to support the servicing, prospecting and other client activities in the region.

The role is based in our Singapore office which houses the majority of our APAC Client Group associates e.g. Marketing, Investment Directors. The reporting line will be to the Head of Institutional Sales for Singapore & Southeast Asia. The overall Head of Client Group for Singapore & Southeast Asia will also be a key stakeholder in this growing team. There will be regional collaboration with the HK based sales team given the close knitted financial landscape across Singapore and Hong Kong.

Primary Responsibilities

The role will work closely and collaboratively with the Financial Intermediary and Institutional Sales team for client coverage focusing on key areas outlined below
- Sales Process
- Generating, preparing for and participating in prospecting meetings with clients, including recording call notes into the system and handling follow-ups
- Preparing marketing materials (e.g. decks, quarterly letters), responses for RFIs and other information requests, through collaborating with relevant internal teams such as Compliance, Marketing as appropriate
- Maintaining information on prospects and updating critical management information about prospects and clients into the required systems
- Initiating ideas on possible avenues of sales process improvement and executing on these suggestions
- Working closely with the sales teams to build out strategic plans, identifying opportunities. This involves efforts in understanding landscape of the market and brainstorming ideas to formulate business plans and detailed client plans
- Representing Capital Group at industry conferences

Internal Collaboration
- Work with RFP team to oversee the RFIs/RFPs process, ensuring quality and timely submissions
- Collaborate with internal teams (i.e. Results Analysis, Investment Product Management, Fee Consulting, legal etc.) to respond accurately and promptly to prospect queries
- Coordinate due diligence meetings with various internal departments
- Work with administrative assistants to maintain client database and distribution lists
- Share ideas and best practices with Business Development Associate counterparts across Asia and Europe

- In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings._
