We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as **Head of Retail Products and Journeys, Singapore**.

**Principal responsibilities**

This role reports into the Head of WPB, Singapore
- Ownership and delivery of the commercial strategy for the Retail Product set (Mortgages, Liabilities, Transactional Banking including Payments, General Insurance)
- Joint responsibility for delivery of the commercial strategy for Cards and Loans, together with Asia Cards
- Accountability for end to end product management for all retail products, journeys and proposition solutions (product, pricing, servicing)
- Accountability for the end to end journeys for all retail products including delivery of digital, technical and non-technical enhancements to the customer journeys (origination and servicing) for these products and oversight of operations and servicing. Ultimate prioritisation of the product backlog and allocation of resources between the tribes which support the delivery of each backlog
- Develop and manage entire suite of retail banking products such as transactional banking, payments solutions, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages to meet the strategic plan for product sales, profitability and market share growth
- Contribute to the wider management of HBSP entity as senior member in ALCO, other relevant committees in SG and external committees and forums chaired by ABS, MAS etc.
- Manage balance sheet and Asset/ Liability management considerations from a WPB perspective
- Develop, in conjunction with the customer propositions and marketing team, strategic communication platform and tactical product offerings unique to each segment to identify and qualify for cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
- Proactively seek out incremental new business opportunities and business expansion potential by managing pricing/product packaging to maximise profitability.
- Drive strategic business alliances and manage sales and retention performance to accelerate business growth
- Ensure strong product control, governance and compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements
- Groom a highly motivated team through effective communication of business directions and objectives

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Senior management and leadership experience in leading retail products through multi-segments and multi-channels
- Significant experience delivering change at pace in a highly competitive environment, including a strong understanding of agile delivery approaches
- Strong understanding of IT and Digital change terminology and approaches and able to guide strategic decisions regarding the future architecture underpinning the business
- Knowledge of banking products, processes and pertinent regulations affecting their delivery
- Excellent pricing, P&L and balance sheet management skills and knowledge
- Strong influencing skills, communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders in a complex matrix environment
- Experience in developing strong team culture and managing high performing individuals
- Highly creative and challenging to the status quo
- Being enthusiastic, willing to champion the unpopular if right for business strategy; and the ability to persuade and motivate individuals to support a customer centric agenda
- High level of personal integrity and values in line with HSBC core values
