**About this role**
Our civil engineering teams plan, build and own an extraordinarily diverse portfolio from site developments to water systems, and from energy facilities to transport networks. Their needs vary from select civil engineering skills, such as grading and drainage, to full management and execution of civil engineering design. This is a role for you if want to work on projects like restoring a city’s waterfront, treating sanitary sewage in a neighbour-friendly facility and replacing highways where it runs through a National Park.

**What will I do?**
- You will play a key role in delivering Surface Water, WSUD, Drainage and general Civils projects across the project procurement lifecycle. This will include Masterplans, Feasibility Studies, Concept Design as well as detailed design and implementation
- Accountable for the provision of specialist civil and water related services and to promote learning within the team from experiences gained by team members.
- You will provide concept design and technical consultation in areas such as earthworks, designing roads, drainage, water, sewer, WSUD, utilities and paving elements etc.
- You will be responsible for the development, design and management of large, complex, long term projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities, resources etc, within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints.
- You may be responsible for procuring work, negotiating significant contracts and for financial performance in several specified areas. In addition, you will work collaboratively with other teams within the Group, Practice, Australasia Region and with other Arup Regions across the globe in the effective pursuit, conduct and resourcing of projects.

**What will I bring?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
- Relevant industry experience in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on designing roads, drainage, water, sewer, WSUD, utilities and paving elements within a consulting business environment.
- Knowledge and experience of Coastal Engineering as well as of aviation and high speed rail projects is beneficial.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience delivering land development projects from pre-concept design to site phase for a range of clients including Local Government Authorities and/or Private Developers;
- Experience in the operation of software design tools including 12D, Bentley Systems, Infoworks, Civil3D or AutoCAD. In addition, experience using hydraulic modelling packages would be an advantage.
