Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Structural Engineer to support Oil & Gas/ petrochemical brownfield projects in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a strong background in BP (Building Plan) submissions, regulatory coordination, and brownfield project execution in the oil & gas sector / petrochemical.
Key Responsibilities
Lead civil and structural engineering activities for brownfield modifications and upgrades.
Prepare and review engineering deliverables including calculations, drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Ensure compliance with Singapore building codes and regulatory requirements, including BP submission processes.
Coordinate with QP (Qualified Person) & HVEC team for timely approvals.
Interface with multidisciplinary teams including piping, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and support construction activities.
Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during design and execution phases.
Support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
Represent the civil/structural discipline in client meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence within the team.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in brownfield oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
Strong understanding of Singapore BP submission protocols and regulatory frameworks.
Strong understanding of international codes and standards (Eurocodes, Singapore codes, API, PIP, etc.).
Experience in design of modular structure, pile foundation, adequacy check of existing structure, strengthening of existing structures.
Proficiency in structural analysis tools (STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, IDEA StatiCa, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, etc.).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and lead engineering efforts.

Exposure to QP coordination and authority liaison.
