Bryden Wood is seeking a highly motivated ‘DfMA Engineer’ or ‘DfMA Architect’ with an interest in off-site construction and DfMA to join our expanding global Systemisation Team.

The Systemisation Team develops innovative building systems and advanced construction methods through detailed design and productization. Work ranges from concept development to delivery of fabrication level designs for manufacture. Projects vary across a broad range of sectors with a focus on DfMA, systems, modularisation, other off-site solutions, and facades. Our team also supports the development and delivery of fabrication detailing.

You will work on multiple complex and exciting projects concurrently, at varying stages of completion, to provide technical design or architectural support within a multidisciplinary team and liaise with our Creative Technologies, Architectural, Structural, Civils, and Building Service Engineering teams.

Applicants will be expected to work collaboratively in this environment, supporting the technical design and/or architectural needs of the team and assisting in cross-disciplinary design efforts.

For UK staff support will be provided by our Architect and Engineering Teams to obtain Architectural Part 3 or Engineering Chartership if you are not already registered. Our training schemes are approved by RIBA/CIBSE/ICE. (Similar career support in other locations as applicable)

The position is open to Intermediate and Senior roles.

**_ Skills:_**
- Key interest in technical design, details, and attention to detail
- Clear communication in English (verbally and in writing) - strong verbal communication with 3rd parties / clients an advantage
- Experience detailing Structural, OR M&E, OR Architectural, OR Facade packages
- Beneficial knowledge/experience: constructions methods, construction sequencing, fabrication, manufacturing processes, facades, running projects, technical specifications, scheduling, creating graphics & reports, data analysis
- Knowledge of design codes
- Positive / Proactive / Open to Learning / Self-Starting / Problem Solving / Collaborative / Flexible Attitude

**_Software:_**
- Proficient in Revit, OR SolidWorks, OR Tekla - others considered beneficial (SketchUp, AutoCad, Rhino, Dynamo, Grasshopper, etc.)
- Enough knowledge of packages for visualisations, sketches, report writing (Adobe Suite - beneficial, MS office - expected)
- Experience with engineering calculation software packages - e.g. for thermal, condensation, acoustic, structural calculations are an advantage but not a requirement

**_Education Background:_**
- Degree in Engineering, OR Architecture, OR Industrial Design (in special cases)
