**Operations**
**Specialist (Senior Associate)** in our
**Client Tax Regulatory Reporting, QI Reporting Services** Team

You will be working in the Singapore Client Regulatory Reporting Team to support the bank in meeting its Qualified Intermediary (QI), Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) reporting obligations and other regulatory requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for Bank's US QI Reconciliation, Withholding and Reporting processes including Income Reclassification, 871m and 305C withholding.
- Perform quarterly reconciliation for US QI Reporting of Bank's clients' US entitlements against custodian records to ensure timely resolution of incorrect withholding prior to reporting.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve withholding issues in client entitlements per specific market tax rules.
- Ensure timely submission of yearly QI reporting to the US IRS according to regulatory reporting standards.
- Support regular QI health-checks and QI Periodic Reviews to ensure Bank's compliance prior to RO attestation.
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders in the bank for all QI tax related matters
- Liaise with the Tax team on tax regulation changes and various taxation issues across markets to ensure processes and controls are implemented or enhanced according to compliance policies and requirements.
- Participate in various Bank projects and initiatives like New Business, Tax working groups and Process & System Improvement projects
- Assist other internal stakeholders, such as Corporate Actions and FATCA/CRS Reporting teams, to resolve all QI tax related issues by liaising with the respective custodians and supporting on income classifications for tax reporting purposes.
- Handle client QI tax queries and complaints according to Bank tax policies and tax communication frameworks.
- Support management in dissemination of tax-related notices to clients where new or non-BAU tax withholding requirements are necessary.
- Support Risk and Control in Risk Control Assessment Reviews pertaining to QI tax processes and controls.
- Maintain operational procedures & ensure adherence to control standards.
- Other ad hoc requirements.

**Qualifications**

**Requirements**:

- Preferably university degree in finance or accounting.
- You have at least 4 years of relevant experience in banking/financial institution.
- Experience in QI, FATCA and CRS regulations and processes will be an added advantage. Excellent time management skill and interpersonal skill.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Possess Tax acumen and display a high attention to detail and have excellent reconciliation skills.
- Exhibit an appreciation of the risk impact of actions undertaken, with a good risk and control perspective.
- Able to work under pressure and within short timelines.
- Working knowledge of trade product life cycle (corporate actions/settlements) and user acceptance testing will be an advantage.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint will be an advantage.
