Our client is one of the world's largest private equity real estate investment management firm with offices worldwide. The Singapore office is looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join the in-house legal team. This role will support all real estate transactions such as acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures across the Asia Pacific region.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, below are the key responsibilities:

- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements in the area of real estate matters, including acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, M&A deals in APAC
- Act as legal advisor to business stakeholders on transactions
- Monitor and advise any potential legal risk and provide mitigation strategies
- Manage any litigation or contentious matters across various jurisdictions
- Assist in the drafting of policies, guidelines, legal templates and other documents to ensure best practices
- Coordinate and liaise directly with overseas business teams and external counsels
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for real estate transactions.
- Draft routine leases, non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters, and amendments and create templates
- Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before real estate transactions are executed
- Manage regulatory and compliance-related services.
- Support legal and general advisory needs associated with a large-scale real estate portfolio
**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- At least 8 years PQE in a law firm specializing in real estate transactions, or as an in-house counsel in real estate investment firms
- Strong team player with good stakeholder management skills
- Experience in advising cross border transactions
- Strong communication and analytical skills
