Overview of Role
This is a senior position within Mindshare, where you will have responsibility for leading our Performance offer across Mindshare in Asia Pacific. The scope focuses on thought leadership, new product development, and landing best in class performance planning and campaign implementation across clients and markets. The role will encompass a team focused on ecommerce, channel specialists, performance analytics and consulting. It will also work together with GroupM Nexus on the activation of performance for clients in region.
You will be responsible for driving and evolving a new vision for performance in APAC. This will include the creation of new products and services with key platforms that deliver better return for our clients and greater revenue opportunities for our agency.
This role is equally strategic and operational. Setting a vision for performance for the agency but also being responsible for maintaining the quality of contracted services, increasing operational efficiency and consistency, and training and upskilling market expertise.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer of Mindshare APAC.

Measures of Success:
- Creation of a framework for each market to achieve ambition of best in class strategic and executional performance capabilities
- Creation of new products and services with platforms
- Develop robust testing programs and JBPs with GroupM to benefit Mindshare clients
- Improve operational efficiency, consistency and automation of performance delivery (in collaboration with GM)
- Build a strong set of credentials and cases for usage in new business across region.
- Seek out new revenue streams through existing and new clients, spending time with stakeholders within the business to promote consultancy services
**Responsibilities**:
- Be the key business owner and driver for all centralised client hubs
- Provide thought leadership and identify and evaluate industry best practices for implementation markets
- Performance excellence across markets
- Provide insights into end-to-end performance and ROI analysis from a regional perspective to be cascaded to local markets
- Provide performance management results and actionable insights to regional stakeholders through ongoing communication leveraging strong data visualization, storytelling, and clearly articulated learnings
- Using data and analytics for decision making and measuring marketing effectiveness as well as creating a culture of structured experimentation and iteration to drive growth
- Provide leadership on the development of strategic Ecommerce/Digital plans and set up growth drivers with a clear roadmap to successful execution. Drive share gains in e-commerce to drive towards leadership and new recruitment.
- Responsible for driving full funnel performance marketing mindset through creation & implementation of playbooks
- Lead and develop full cross functional team supporting e-commerce and digital activation, infusing digital expertise into everything the team does.
- Collaborate with Local markets, clients and other stakeholders to obtain buy-in, optimize plans and escalate/resolve issues from creation, execution and post launch learnings in digital marketing.
- Drive the effectiveness of precision media across key brands supporting with campaign design, technologies and agency partners. Maximize spend by brand while optimizing profits - work with agencies to understand opportunities that drive customers recruitment and conversion.
- Provide expertise on current Ecommerce industry best practices. Consult on cross-functional projects to ensure Ecommerce principles are incorporated and are true to the desired brand and consumer experience.
- Create & cascade platform best practices across markets
What you will need:
- Minimum 15 years’ work experience in strategic planning or performance planning role with 9 years experience in digital media - ideally search or performance
- Media agency experience optional but working knowledge of media planning is needed.
- Highly evolved presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience in managing large projects.
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize and lead proactively. This role requires someone who can roll up their sleeves and get involved to make a difference.
- Shows a depth of understanding of the industry, business, brands and consumers in client conversations.
- Understands business principles and good practice and perceives issues in both financial and commercial terms.
