My Brother SG (MBSG) is a robust network of migrant-worker related authorities and organisations passionate about empowering migrant workers for better health.

To enable seamless communication with our fellow Brothers, we are actively looking for Bengali, Tamil, and Telugu translators to join our team for a minimum period of 12 months. We’re looking for dynamic individuals who thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. As a translator, you will focus on providing holistic linguistic support to the MBSG team which includes:

- Translation of social media content, research and focus group materials;
- Conduct interviews with migrant workers in their native language, transcribe and translate in English
- Proofread the translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy;
- Ensure the translated content conveys the original meaning and tone;
- Attend face-to-face*/virtual focus group discussions and interviews. *Subjected to COVID-19 Restrictions

Commitment: The job would take about 4-5 hours per month with a minimum commitment period of 12 months.

**JOB REQUIREMENT**
- Diploma/Degree in any field of study;
- Proficient in English and at least one of the following - Bengali, Tamil, Telugu or Hindi. (Verbal and Written);
- Relevant work experience as a translator, interpreter, or equivalent will be an advantage;
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors;
- Computer literacy (eg.Microsoft office);
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- An independent working style but also collaborative in a team environment
