We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented communications professional to join our Marketing Communications Team in Asia Pacific. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our internal communications strategy and inform and engage Munich Re’s Property & Casualty, Life & Health reinsurance and Munich Re Markets colleagues, as we grow and transform our business and culture across the region.
The Internal Communications Manager APAC is responsible for designing and executing Munich Re’s strategic internal communication programme, around three pillars: in-region executive communication, employee engagement and the HR communication agenda and local employee communication within the Singapore regional centre. As an individual contributor, you will take direction from the Head of Marketing & Communication APAC to prioritize deliverables to support and achieve business goals.
You will work closely with the Marketing and PR team members in the region to deliver integrated communication initiatives. In addition, you will align with the Head of Strategic Topics & Events in Global Communications in Munich, to leverage Group best practices, tools and formats on region-specific work.
We’re looking for someone who has excellent writing skills and project management, and a passion for translating complex business topics into engaging communication deliverables.
**Your Job**
- Create and implement a regional internal communication plan with appropriate messaging and tactics aligned to business plans
- Accelerate the digitalisation of internal communications by building up the digital platform and improving standardisation, scalability and evaluation.
- Support senior executive communication (help define profile and craft messaging for updates, town hall presentations, speeches, videos etc )
- Design and deliver internal events (virtual, face to face and hybrid) that engage employees, position leaders, meet business needs and enable successful change.
- Collaborate with Global Communications team members to ensure that strategic Group messages are embedded in APAC through a one-voice strategy, and showcase stories and successes from the region in a relevant way to global internal audiences.
- Develop a regional editorial calendar and content for internal outreach and branding in collaboration with the Group Head of Content in Munich
- Produce materials that support Munich Re’s developments and culture, like innovation milestones, client wins, senior appointments etc.
- Working closely with the HR Leadership Team, deliver high quality campaigns and employee experiences around important initiatives like the future of hybrid working, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Employer Value Proposition.
- Provide the CEO, Singapore with advice on engaging the Munich Re community in Singapore.
**Your Profile**
We are looking for someone who has the ability to:
- Influence division leaders and employees to follow a recommended strategy.
- Use creativity and innovative ideas to effectively communicate the internal value proposition.
- Ensure the appropriate messages and value proposition are being delivered (and understood) by employees, and other constituents.
- Deliver key messages in an organized, to-the-point, consistent and interesting manner.
- Champion the brand and internal marketing and ensure brand identity is maintained
- Work in a fast-paced environment, handling many projects and requests across multiple markets and business lines, simultaneously. Keep a view of the big picture, with an eye on the details.
- Adhere to communication best practices while remaining flexible to ensure appropriate mix of corporate interests is maintained.
Role requirements:
- 10 years+ of experience in communications roles, preferably with experience in internal communications
- Degree holder in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, HR, Change Management
- Experience in regional roles and working in Asia Pacific markets
- Excellent writing skills and project management
- Detail oriented with the ability to connect the dots
- Ability to work independently, with senior stakeholders across a matrixed structure
