The Manager Supply Chain ASEAN & Japan, under direction of the Finance Director ASEAN & Japan, provides technical services to operations, customers, and supports marketing, medical, quality and sales staff.

The role requires the proactive managing of the end to end supply of Ipsen’s products the cluster, ensuring compliance with the good distribution practices, seamless distribution, reporting and reconciliation.

Lead responsibility for addressing supply issues and communication, ensuring a positive customer experience.

**Distributor and Wholesaler Controlling**
- Act as the prime Ipsen contact person for the management of Ipsen’s distributors regarding supply chain & distribution operations in accordance to Ipsen’s policies and GDP & GWP requirements
- Liaise with Distributors, Marketing Managers / Business Unit Heads and Finance to ensure that appropriate stock holdings are consistently maintained in distributor warehouses.
- Liaise with distributors & internal stakeholders to determine new product introduction requirements and pipeline fill processes (suggested initial stock ordering)
- Ensure all supply chain operations are implemented according to GWP & GDP requirements
- Play a role as directed in implementing aspects of the QMS (Framework and associated policies and procedures implemented by Quality).
- Partner with Quality to ensure aspects of the QMS pertaining to supply chain operations are implemented.
- Coordinate & attend logistic service providers/partner stocktakes.
- Complete alternate supplier (logistic service provider) assessments

**Customer Support**
- Lead the supply of products to customers, reconcile orders and manage issues
- Proactively engage key customers to ensure timely access to stock aligned to requirements
- Maintain a register of logistic service provider customer service complaints, recommendations, corrective actions and outcomes.
- Working with Ipsen internal and external supply chain stakeholders to continuously review and improve customer service, processes and communication.

**Supply Chain Forecasting**
- Responsible for communicating reasons for significant variances in the sales forecast KPI and significant changes in forecasts, via the defined supply chain tool
- Responsible for challenging and contributing to the consensus forecast and accountable for entering forecasts into the forecasting system, in accordance to agreed timetable
- Responsible for entering the sales forecast upsides in the relevant categories defined by Global Supply Chain & External Manufacturing
- Responsible for understanding all supply chain cost elements and driving efficiencies
- Accountable for correct reporting of inventory levels in SAP, planning tools and stock profiles in the systems.
- Responsible for early identification & minimization of obsolescent stocks and subsequent write off.

**Supply Chain Controlling**
- Control over the procurement and the level of stock (actual and forecast, security stock level, consignment stock, annual inventories checking)
- Identify opportunities & risks to drive business performance in line with targets
- Establish mechanisms to drive best in class sales forecasting accuracy results
- Participate in all discussions and projects implicating supply chain expertise
- Prepare draft supply chain SOPs, including seeking/incorporating feedback from all relevant stakeholders
- Effectively manage new product introductions by liaising with logistic service provider to ensure internal requirements are coordinated
- Monitor all costs related to Supply activities (transport costs, logistic service provider fees); identify and drive cost reduction exercises pertaining to supply chain
- Review all billings, credit notes / commissions related to Supply received

**Undertake other departmental projects and tasks and provide support as required**
- Undertake specific projects and tasks as requested
- Be involved in product issues management and relevant audits
- Observe all applicable laws and codes

**Knowledge, abilities & experience**

Education / Certifications:

- Accredited Higher education Logistics/Supply Chain Qualification/Training
- Bachelor’s degree will be highly regarded
- CPAs or other form of internationally recognized finance degrees will also be considered

**Experience**:

- Multiple countries or large complex country experience is a must
- Experience working in a global commercial or pharmaceutical company
- >10 years of experience in a GMP/GDP/ISO environment preferred
- Strong experience in working directly with supply chain partners
- Basic understanding of applicable regulations related to supply of pharmaceutical medicines
- Knowledge of and experience working with SAP, excel and demand planning software
