**Primary Purpose**:
The Planning Manager assumes full responsibility on Tapestry supply planning process from long range production plan, product allocation to monthly order placement. He/She will execute the strategic sourcing direction, collect and analyze global planning and costing data in support of total cost optimization, vendor negotiation and supply policy improvement. This position also drives the consistent implementation of process, policy and system changes on supply chain management across the regions and training of the involved stakeholders.

**The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to**
- Measure and analyze the order profile of the supply base and maintain the long range production plan
- Collaborate cross functional teams and each local office to review the product specifications and challenges, determine product allocation to service providers to optimize delivery, quality and cost
- Analyze the allocation results to explore opportunities in the forthcoming allocation
- Receive and update service providers’ capacities from regional manufacturing team, liaise with New York Planning and Logistics team to balance the actual orders across service providers to establish an agreed monthly production plan
- Suggest product transfers after careful consideration of capacity and capability constraints, landed cost, product mix and overall fill rate priorities to maximize the best source options
- Communicate the product transfer list and resolve issues
- Analyze product trends (difficulty and complexity level) and make recommendation on the capability ramp up plan of each service provider, follow up closely with production team on execution
- Maintain and analyze related planning and costing data to support annual vendor negotiations, and report sourcing KPIs

**The accomplished individual will possess...**
- Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline
- 5 years of working experience in merchandising or planning in supply chain, preferably in fashion or consumer products industries
- Proficient in MS Access and Visual Basics
- Strong data modeling and analytical skills
- Effective communicator who can present complex problems in simple terms
- Solution oriented creative thinker
- Project Management experience an advantage
- Strong communication skills, spoken & written, in English
