The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Operation Officer, SAA, and Communications and Branding Lead, Surbana Jurong, this dynamic, hybrid role will be responsible for designing and leading a broad range of brand, marketing, and communications strategies to support organizational business objectives for SAA and regional strategies for SJ’s Asia-based sector and service lines as the firm brings together its global portfolio of best-in-class brands to deliver integrated solutions to clients and partners across the region and beyond.
Our strategic Brand + Communications team brings together the combined expertise of our global brand, marketing, and communications community to promote the SJ Group’s world-leading expertise across a portfolio of specialist brands who deliver real world impact and innovative solutions for the built environment.
We focus on the creative and strategic use of marketing to strengthen client relationships, understand the needs of our global community, align strategies to grow our business, and respond to our industry’s most pressing issues and opportunities.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic senior marketing leader who will lead SAA’s Brand and Communications team and also work with SJ’s Asia-based business leaders and global Brand + Communications team to support the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns and activities across the Asia region. This blended role will support the entire client lifecycle, from gathering industry and client intelligence to aid strategy, through to rolling out client focused campaigns and measuring success.

Key Responsibilities- Ownership of marketing, brand and communication strategy development and execution. You will shape and lead campaigns, programs and initiatives that align with strategic business priorities for both SAA and SJ’s broader business in Asia.- Manage calendar/timeline of integrated multi-channel tactics including conferences, client events, awards, social media, thought leadership and editorial activities, including budgetary requirements and KPI reporting.- Own content strategy to support overall business objectives. Source and write, edit, and proofread various forms of targeted communications for a broad range of audiences across the executive communications, internal/studio communications, and external communications functions.- Shape and lead impactful public relations strategies that connect to brand and business goals and respond to current issues and trends in regional media landscapes. This will include profiling projects, thought leadership, talent, executive profiles, special campaigns, and other activities.- Lead SAA’s digital and social media strategy while also contributing to the digital content strategy for SJ’s broader business. Schedule, write and track and measure social media content to support both strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests. Manage SAA website and other digital properties including ongoing maintenance, website merchandising strategy and creative updates.- Plan and lead strategic events aligned with SAA and regional SJ business objectives including client engagement events, conference support, networking events as well as company led events, both in-person and virtual.- Project manage and liaise with creative department and other teams to create engaging collateral in support of campaigns and initiatives.- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support growth strategies - monitor trends & developments relevant to specific regions, markets, sectors, service lines, and other topics aligned with business goals.- Prepare monthly progress reports for leadership teams on both business-as-usual and strategic activities, sourcing analytics where appropriate to demonstrate return on investment.- Participate regularly in regional & global SAA and SJ team meetings & other initiatives as required.
