Now entering our 27th year, Intuitive is at the forefront of developing patient-centric, innovative mínimally invasive tools and technologies. Core to what we do is providing best in class products and services that help our customers achieve the Quadruple Aim: delivering better clinical outcomes, improved patient and care team experiences, and helping to lower the total cost to treat per patient episode.
**Primary Function of Position**:
As a member of Intuitive’s Global Public Affairs team, you will join a rapidly growing team of cross-disciplinary professionals engaged in government relations, media relations, patient advocacy and corporate social responsibility and sustainability (CSSR) programs. You will make an essential contribution to our efforts to protect and promote the company’s corporate reputation as well as educate a wide range of external stakeholders on our corporate mission and the impact that our technology has on patient outcomes, with a strong focus on key markets across Asia Pacific (China, Japan, Korea, India, ASEAN). This role will also involve close collaboration with a diverse group of internal clients and colleagues, representing different corporate functions.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in working with team members across the Global Public Affairs APAC team handling many of the day-to-day activities including:
- Prepare GPA APAC media reports, draft briefing notes, contribute to developing and assisting in the implementation of communications/stakeholder engagement plans,
- Conduct desk research and analysis associated with public policy trends and developments associated with Intuitive’s APAC markets as needed.
- Draft, edit, review and revise strategic and project-specific messaging and materials, both internal and external (meeting notes, public policy reports, press & audience-specific statements, FAQs, executive presentations)
- Collaborate with PR firms/external partners and GPA in-market colleagues to consolidate Country Media Lists into a GPA APAC Media Tracker to measure share of voice, message pull through and tone of voice across the region.
- Liaise with GPA APAC team members, other internal teams and external consultants to gather information, seek feedback and track and manage projects.
- Develop and maintain trackers, checklists, databases and other internal tools to guide, assess, and measure team progress, activities and goals.
- Provide assistance in assuring that the department’s individual activities, messages, and materials support the achievement of broader public affairs, APAC region-specific, and company-wide goals and reputational, policy and advocacy-focused objectives.
- Clearly synthesize, and integrate complex issues in messaging and media documents, and in communications with key internal and external audiences.
- Conduct daily media monitoring on Intuitive, Joint Venture Partners and Industry news.
- Attend meetings/conferences to capture outcome and provide public affairs support, as needed.
- Assist with managing team communication processes, approvals, policies, procedures and templates.
- Provide as needed support for Senior Director of Public Affairs, potentially including calendar management, drafting outgoing communications and coordinating internal meetings and external activities.
