Overview:

- General Description:Operations Engineer, Tooling and Manufacturing shall assist the Operations department in tool development, fixtures fabrication and automation to support manufacturing readiness on new products from R&D or other manufacturing sites to local manufacturing. This role will enable new products to move thorough manufacturing quickly to ensure they are delivered to market in a timely manner. Operations Engineer, Tooling and Manufacturing shall be responsible in liaising with internal, third party vendors/external partners in maintaining, renewal and development of tooling solutions to support production ramp-up and improve productivity of manufacturing operations, including but not withstanding; production processes, tool/fixtures, and reduce workmanship related defects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain and update Singapore tools database. This includes life cycle management
- Responsible for coordinating tool and fixtures preventive maintenance program as part of manufacturing support, includes records maintenance
- Develop tools to support product transfers to local manufacturing to enable efficient commercialization of new products to our customers
- Drive continuous improvement / optimization of manufacturing processes through tool standardization and value engineering activities.
- Design and develop automated assembly fixtures to improve the site productivity
- Participate on cross functional teams for continuous improvement initiatives, automation activities, and resolve teething startup issues related to implementation.
- Support product transfers in area of production line setup and qualification
- Implement advanced manufacturing techniques like 3D printing for tooling,
- Coordinate with third party vendors to implement and track automation solutions to ensure ROI, Quality and Productivity objectives are met.

Track and demonstrate financial benefits of the automation initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
- 5-8 Years of Experience in a Related Field /Role
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Strong Structured Problem Solving Skills
- Good knowledge of mechanical design software; SolidWorks 3D CAD Experience
- Minitab/Statistical software experience
- Experienced User of SAP or Oracle
