**PostgreSQL DBA**:
**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Participates in projects as assigned providing expertise related to Cloud Database Architecture (AWS or Azure) especially PostgreSQL.
- Experience in managing, maintaining, patching, upgrading and ensuring operational continuity of both Postgres and other Cloud Databases and associated components using the following products: PgPool Cluster, Postgres tools, Admin and Bucardo
- Must have good UNIX, Linux knowledge and scripting skills
- Schedules and coordinates database maintenance activities
- Strong capability and ability to resolve highly technical and complex database and infrastructure related issues on their own before they impact production and the ETS business.
- Provides technical expertise to the development of solutions for such items as DBMS tools and utilities usage, database administration, backup and recovery, database performance tuning and monitoring.
- Performs data base migrations, upgrades and structure migrations.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Must have experience supporting Postgres.
- Must have experience with administration of Databases
- PostgreSQL Database Administrator in versions 9.x and 14.x with Postgres Advanced Server using Enterprise Manager and SQL analyzer.
- Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to support alternate RDBMS database flavors like MS SQL SERVER, Aurora, & NoSQL.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins) & container technologies (Docker, CoreOS) is a big plus and desired.
- Experience operating in traditional and agile project models.
- Strong Interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate, and create consensus with both internal associates and external customers.
- Postgres Replication and data encryption.
