About this Internship:
Our team at Continental is developing an autonomy stack for mobile robots operating in different environmental conditions (like sidewalks, warehouses, factories and greenhouses).

We’re seeking a software engineer intern to work on our internal data management infrastructure for managing machine learning data.

This will primarily involve:

- Developing and enhancing the internal data management infrastructure for managing machine learning data of the autonomy stack.
- Extending the existing Python codebase (based on Flask) by implementing new features and functionalities related to data management and integration with MLops tools.
- Working on data ingestion, preprocessing, and annotation pipelines to ensure efficient handling and organization of machine learning datasets.
- Collaborating with the machine learning team to optimize data storage, retrieval, and versioning processes.
- Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of the data management infrastructure.
- Documenting and communicating technical designs, implementation details, and project progress effectively within the team.

**Profile**:
Internship Requirements:

- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python programming language and experience with web development frameworks (such as Flask) and RESTful APIs.
- Have basic database (SQL/NoSQL) experience and data management concepts.
- Prior experience or coursework in machine learning or data science is desirable.
- Knowledge of MLops tools and frameworks (e.g., Docker, DVC, TensorFlow Extended, Kubeflow, MLflow, CVAT ) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to develop innovative solutions for managing large-scale machine learning datasets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and techniques in the field of MLops.
