What You Will Achieve
Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in the management of manufacturing information systems to improve manufacturing success rates and ensuring zero down time.
As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams.

How You Will Achieve It
- Provide expert Automation support for shopfloor automation systems with particular focus on Emerson DeltaV and Siemens PLC also including site wide systems such as OSI PI, AMPS, Catalyst etc. and ensures the Automation systems comply with site procedures and remain in a validated state.
- Troubleshoot automation related issues in manufacturing operations and ensures timely and effective resolution of issues. Participate or lead quality or safety investigations and implement automation solutions resulting from these investigations.
- Participate in Tier Meeting and is responsible for resolution of all identified automation related equipment issues, unplanned events, and new opportunities with agility and flexibility.
- Lead site-wide & divisional automation initiatives such as Cyber Security, Automation Obsolescence Management, Data Integrity, etc. and works across all PCT to ensure consistent implementation.
- Provide computer system validation knowledge and practical implementation methods to automation team for new system installation and obsolescence upgrade/replacement.
- Ensure seamless data flow through all interfaces and hierarchies of system connectivity, within control system, and to other business systems.
- Facilitate automation maintenance and manages Automation contracts and vendors.
- Provide automation technical support for Capital, Operation Excellence (OE) and other site projects.
- Manage the Automation Project Portfolio. Prioritizes projects and assigns appropriate resources to projects that requires Automation resources.
- Prepares/Approves AIQ/AOQ qualification and testing documentation, ensuring documentation meets required regulatory standards.
- Act as automation business and/or technical approver for compliance-related documents, including SOPs, Job Aids, automation training packages, qualification protocols, Automation change controls, incident reports and deviation investigation reports.
- Promote Safety, Quality and Compliance culture and continuous improvement mindset that will lead to plant safety, quality and compliance to regulatory requirement.
- Support company internal/external regulatory audit as Automation SMEManage automation critical hardware spare parts.
- Participate in periodic alarm review/analysis and derive solutions to reduce alarms.
- Validate new PCS systems and changes to existing systems. Audit and update existing system design documentation and procedures.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance of PCS as per schedule. Identify and address issues at recipe level as well as 3rd party interfaces with Automation systems.
- Actively contribute to build and leverage on knowledge base within the automation team.
- Team player with proven performance records, creative thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Co-ordinate and work with Pfizer Global site Automation team members to investigate and troubleshoot critical issues.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Chemical / Electrical / Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Process Automation, preferably in a batch manufacturing environment
- Extensive and strong DCS and PLC technical knowledge and experience in process automation system, preferably in Emerson DeltaV and Siemens PLC.
- Knowledge of GMP and EHS requirements
- Strong leadership and able to work independently.
