**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for all general legal and compliance responsibilities within the company
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor and evaluate internal processes and controls to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and provide regular updates to management and the legal team.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required.
- Coordinate efforts related to internal/ external audits and reviews
- Central point of contact in dealing with MAS, and assist in managing relationships with auditors and other external stakeholders
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and litigation materials.
- Conduct legal research and analyse complex legal issues to provide relevant information and recommendations
- Manage and organise case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Prepare and maintain corporate records, including minutes, resolutions, and other required documentation.
- Assist with due diligence efforts and other special projects as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as law, business, or finance.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in compliance and legal/ paralegal roles, preferably in a MAS licensed entity or start-up environment.
- Experience dealing with MAS and external law firms
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

**Salary**: $6,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Compliance / Legal / Paralegal: 5 years (preferred)
