**Job Specification**
- Preferably Certificate in course for Therapy Assistants.
- Preferably 1 year relevant experience.
- He/she must be physically fit and enjoy working with the elderly.
- Preferably he/she must be bilingual in English and Mandarin/Malay and have knowledge of major dialects. Preferred simple computer skills adequate to cover clerical duties.
**Job Summary**
- Responsible for assisting the therapists in their treatment of clients.
- Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the department.
- Clerical duties related to patient’s schedule, patient reviews dates, recording equipment use, data entry of functional assessment scores and maintaining monthly statistics.
**Principal Accountabilities**

Clinical Duties
- Assist the therapist during rehab exercise session carried out by PT or OT.
- Provide regular maintenance exercises and range of motion exercises for patients as instructed by the therapist.
- Assist in transferring patients on to and getting off exercise equipment in a safe manner.
- Assist therapists in the running of OT/PT programs and activities for clients with Dementia or Psychiatric illness.
- Participate in the Basic Cardiac Life Support process and the use of AED as and when required in case of a patient having a cardio-vascular collapse.
Clerical Duties
- Maintain OT and PT therapy schedule for patients for facilitating slotting of new assessments and providing an overview of available time slots for the PSA.
- Maintain and file client records.
- Assist in data entry of functional assessment scores and to maintain patient review schedules.
- Document daily therapy equipment used and parameters in case notes.
- Document daily attendance of patients to facilitate monthly statistics for each discipline.
- Assist with inventory and stock check of equipment.
- Assist in the ordering of consumables for therapy services.
Housekeeping Duties
- Tidy the department after therapy sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment in the department.
- Maintain a check on the wear and tear of exercise equipment and other resources used for therapy.
Other Duties
- Participate in quality improvement projects in the department.
- Carry out other duties as assigned from time to time.
- Cover for duties of other TA on leave at another work site under CTS.

**Salary**: $1,400.00 - $2,520.00 per month
