A Senior Research Engineer I position is available in VALENS, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
- Work on circuit design and control of photonic system for SARS-Cov-2 virus detection
- Integration of photonic system, driving electrical-electronic circuits, control software and user graphic interface (GUI) etc
- Design, fabrication and test of electrical-electronic circuits
- Development and test of control software and user graphic interface (GUI) for the photonic system. integration
- Development of high-accurate identification algorithm for screening virus using machine learning and deep learning technology
- Setup Test system for photonic system for screening SARS-Cov-2 virus and troubleshooting and evaluate system performance
- Manage component purchase and reduce lead time and manufacturing cost. Review technical and bidding documents from supplier to control the supplier quality. Manage the budget, deliverables and personnel assigned to project

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field
- More than 10-year working experience of circuit design and control software.
- Expertise in electrical-electronic circuit design, control and testing for driving photonic system
- Solid knowledge in development of control software and user graphic interface (GUI)
- Experience in algorithm development using Machine Learning and artificial intelligence is highly preferred
- Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as C++ and Python etc
