We are looking for a Senior Research Engineer to support the research for the project titled: Non-intrusive Plug-and-Play Adaptive HVAC Control for FCU HVAC Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture design for a resilient FCU control software tool.
  • Leading the software realization of each component in the architecture.
  • Development of a graphic user interface, compatible with relevant building management systems (BMS) via automation protocols such as BACnet, OPCDA, etc.
  • Daily maintenance and upgrade of software modules.
  • Collaboration with ground operators to ensure compliance with software cybersecurity regulations.
  • Assist project PI to coach research students.
Job Requirements
  • A master’s or PhD degree in relevant fields with past experience in software development, web-based graphic user interface design, and network cybersecurity compliance.
  • Solid understanding of common building automation protocols such as BACnet and OPCDA.
  • Past knowledge and experience in development of commercial software systems is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
