Part-time Barista

The cafe started since 8th Apr 2019
- We belong to the Jewel Coffee Franchise.
- flexible timing according to availability to work as roster will be fix every week.
- Greet customers as they arrive, seat them and ask for their coffee and food preferences and take orders
- Provide customer information about deals and new food and beverage items
- Initiate and indulge in dialogue with customers as part of customer services
- Educate customers about our specialty coffees and teas
- Take customer orders and convey them to other employees for preparation.
- Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
- Ensure that the coffeemaker is in perfect working condition at all times
- Prepare and serve hot and cold espresso-based beverages and drinks
- Serve hot coffee quickly and efficiently
- Process cash and credit card payments through the POS
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Wash and make sure that coffee mugs and plates are clean
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Answer telephone in a courteous and friendly manner and take down reservation
- Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions.
- Weigh, grind and pack coffee for customers
- Wrap, label, and date coffee items for sale
- Restock shelves when necessary
- Ensure that any complaints are entertained in a positive manner with a view to keep patrons happy and ensure recurring business
- Report customer complaint, potential safety hazard and employee accident to the Manager on duty.
- Take out garbage

Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $6.50 - $8.50 per hour
