ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

An exciting opportunity opens up for a Payroll Specialist to join our Employee Experience Team. Reporting to the Payroll and Tax Team Lead. The role will support day-to-day payroll operations, tax compliance activities (when relevant) and process improvement, including setting up business continuity workflow/plans in accordance with Unilever operating procedures, policies and guidelines.
- Payroll Support and Process Improvement
- With outsourced team’s support, ensure accurate and timely interpretation and data input to payroll systems against new reward cycle, time and attendance data / payment-related calculations for payroll accuracy
- Deliver excellent employee payroll experience through accurate payroll processing, reporting within agreed SLAs/KPIs
- Payroll checks perform as per Global Sox Payroll Audit guidelines
- Submit monthly payroll data for approvals before crediting to employee accounts
- Process statutory payments and deductions
- Process pension-related payments
- Generate payroll-related reports
- Timely distribution/communication of payslips to employees
- Computation of final benefits during exit processes
- Reward and payroll related communication i.e. schedules, guidelines
- Manage employee payroll queries
- Responsible audit requirements are met both internal and external
- Initiate Request for Funding to Treasury Team for Payroll & Tax related disbursements
- Provide information for Survey, Internal Reports and Adhoc Reports request internally and from authorized 3rd parties.
- Lead payroll projects and process improvement initiatives
- Tax Support
- Set up business continuous workflows / plans for tax.
- Review the payroll and tax process to ensure adherence to policies/guidelines and audits.
- Serves as a back up to Payroll and Tax Team Lead.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll and tax processing
- Analytical, with high attention to detail
- Passionate in improving payroll processes for increased operational efficiency
- Able to manage confidential and sensitive data appropriately
- Comfortable in working in a matrix environment
