The Trust & Safety Policy team develops and reviews our community policies to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our Users and Content Creators to enjoy and express themselves.

As a Product Policy Manager, you will serve as a TikTok content expert on countering misinformation on the platform. This portfolio will focus on developing our policies related to conspiracy theories, unverified claims, and misinformation in the context of elections or other high-risk environments - but will also contribute to a range of topics within the Integrity and Authenticity team. You will do this by supporting the development of relevant policies that govern the TikTok platform, as well as providing colleagues with an understanding of the impact of technology, media and cultural trends on online misinformation.

What will I be doing?
- Support the Global Lead and Policy Issue Managers on core misinformation policy development projects
- Work with Issue Managers and Policy Implementation Managers to optimize policy iteration & implementation procedures and deliver high-quality results
- Handle various global escalations by acting as a point of contact, aligning all stakeholders, and/or responding to emergency content safety-related cases
- Collaborate with Global Public Policy, Product, Operations, Legal, and Public Relations teams to improve content policies and streamline enforcement policies and processes
- Engage with external stakeholders to incorporate outside expertise into TikTok’s platform policies
- Conduct in depth research and analysis on emerging issues relevant to Integrity and Authenticity

**Qualifications**:
What should I bring with me?
- 5+ years of experience in Public Policy, Government, Law, Academia or related field
- 2+ years of experience directly related to the Integrity vertical (e.g., social media platforms, content policy development, elections, mis/disinfo, media publishing & freedom of expression)
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration
