We are looking for an **Industry Consultant - Light Industries, SEA** to be based in our Singapore / Malaysia / Philippines office.

This position is responsible for business development of Rockwell Automation Light Industries growth across SEA region. He / She will support sales account manager to articulate outcome-based messages to the “C suite” at customer.

Industry consultant will help customer in problem identification through their deep industry knowledge and experience working over the years in the industry.

This position will enhance RA’s position and to set winning strategy for pursuits working in conjunction with the local Light Industries sales, LPP Business Development team, and various business units of RA as well the AP / Global Industry team.

**Responsibilties**:

- Accelerate business growth of RA offering in the Light industries while ensuring the optimized solution is proposed.
- Understand Industry domain/technology trends of the customer and their operational challenges.
- Able to articulate industry best practices; has knowledge of Industry regulations and compliances and help position differentiated techno commercial value of RA; vis a vis competition. Identify the necessary ecosystem and its gaps through their deep experience and domain knowledge.
- Communicates with customer C-suite leadership as a consultant connecting business KPI’s with technology. Critical for success in selling solutions and being engaged with customers in their digital transformation journey.
- Coordinate and Drive pre-engineering documents arrangement such as P&ID, I/O List, Field device scheduling, FDS etc to End Users and EPCs in SEA region. Document & track down customers’ requirement and drive collaboration among key stakeholders to meet customers’ requirement in timely manner. Early engagement in the project to influence specifications, participation in FEED studies and identify target projects. Defines the value proposition for opportunity, also the “influence plan”, at Consultants and EPCs to ensure a winning proposal is submitted.
- Collaborate with AP/Global Industry resources to increase the success rate and increase market share by assembling the right resources to impact the customer’s decision process and presents solutions to the customer (value proposition). This includes Rockwell Automation resources in addition to partners.
- Work closely with Industry sales managers to voice solution and portfolio gaps to regional/global BU’s / Marketing for BSR. Works closely with COE / solution consultant and business units to build the Proof of concept and repeatable solutions for industry.
- Develop sales strategy and execution plan for qualified opportunities in conjunction with SEA industry sales resources based on strong disciplined sales process. Works closely with Sales team to build Key account strategies and digital transformation roadmaps for (EA/SA/Focused accounts).
- Propose project planning, systems technology integration, front-end engineering and design definition, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and quality assurance solution for the Light industries.
- Assist the Southeast Asia sales team to win orders for target pursuits through influence at the End Users and EPCs. Provides project target and opportunity goals to regional account sales to manage funnel for the Customer Relationship Management system. Assist Sales resources to position RA as MAC supplier by demonstrating strong process knowledge at Light industries
- Build effective business relationship with the EU/EPC through understanding their organization, developing a business relation with key decision-makers and understanding their business, strategy and directions.
- Communicate information to the Customers regarding Rockwell Automation architecture, solutions and position RA as the lowest risk supplier to the customer. Customizes multi-product, multi-vendor solutions from the Rockwell portfolio and our partner network to deliver economic value add to assigned/target pursuits.
- Partner with marketing team on implementation of industry specific events including ensuring right target audience. Be able to present as a thought leader in these events.
