The Challenges

Direct the automation maintenance team in performing regular preventive, corrective, predictive, and ad-hoc maintenance on storage systems, equipment, and packaging machines, aiming for peak operational efficiency with mínimal disruptions.

Guide technicians in diagnosing and repairing complex malfunctions in logistics and packaging equipment to ensure continuous operation.

Lead the team in identifying the root causes of equipment failures using statistical methods and recommend adjustments in designs, tolerances, or processing methods to enhance functionality.

Oversee modifications to robotic and automation systems, ensuring advancements align with operational needs.

Collaborate closely with operational teams to guarantee that all automation processes and equipment adhere to safety standards and company policies.

Compile and prepare detailed reports on system performance and breakdowns based on inputs from shift engineers and field technicians for management review and strategic planning.

Work alongside the IT team and storage system vendors to swiftly address and resolve system disruptions.

Ensure the successful handover of completed automation projects to the Operations team and provide ongoing support to other functions as necessary.

Develop work instructions, conduct safety risk assessments, and lead continuous improvement projects to refine processes.

What It Takes

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

At least 3 years of relevant experience in maintaining automation systems, particularly within the logistics and e-commerce or retail industries.

Proven track record in end-to-end project implementation involving robotics and industrial engineering.

Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is essential.

Experience with Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems, conveyor and lifting systems, and Warehouse Management Systems in a cold chain environment is highly desirable.

Knowledge of automation operation software from common market vendors (e.g., WCS, RCS, Interfaces) is preferred.
