Job Responsibilities:
- Carrying out maintenance, service and repair of all mechanical equipment (diesel engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, turbochargers, etc) on board all vessels as assigned by Workshop Manager
- Troubleshooting all the mechanical equipment on board vessels
- Planning and executing the repair job in the most cost effective method
- Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and cleanliness in the workshop
- Attending to vessels dry-dock as assigned by Workshop Manager
- Carrying out any Retrofit job for new equipment installation on board vessels
- Any other duties as assigned by Workshop Manager and Management
Job Requirements:
- We are looking for a person with integrity, commitment and competency
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Marine Engineering/COC Class III (Engine) from a recognized institution with 5 or more years of experiences in relevant engineering
- Able to read drawings and write service reports using PC or tablet
- A hands-on person who like to work on site, on ship and in workshop
- Willing to sail on board vessels as riding Mechanical Engineer when required
- Willing to travel overseas when assigned
- Good working attitude and team player
- Able to work under pressure and tight schedule
- Good experience working on high speed and medium speed diesel engines such as Cummins, Daihatsu, Hanshin, Akasaka, Caterpillar, Yanmar and others
