**About Lumen**

**The Role**:
The Lead Security Professional must have advanced practical experience in managing all phases of security integration to assist the Security Manager and Director with managing the personnel, physical, information, and information systems (IS) security requirements for DoD, SCI and SAP activities as applicable to the program supported. They will write all standard operating procedures, maintain fixed facility checklists (FFCs), and author systems security plans in accordance with ICDs, DCIDs, and NISPOM requirements. They will serve as a liaison to government program security officers (PSO), information systems security counterparts, and Lumen internal and external clients. Conduct initial and recurring training, prepare and process access requests, conduct indoctrinations and debriefings, and investigate and report security violations. Conduct self-inspections, maintain associated security paperwork and media control records, conduct virus scanning and computer security briefings, and provide data containment support, including coordinating clean-up efforts and reporting requirements.

**The Main Responsibilities**:

- Research, develop, and implement policies and standards to protect the corporation's critical infrastructure, facilities and people.
- Review and approve requests for the dissemination of critical infrastructure, primarily network maps, outside the corporation and ensure safeguards are in place to prevent unauthorized disclosure.
- Conduct risk assessments of corporate facilities and critical infrastructure to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, assess the risks, and recommend countermeasures to detect, deter or mitigate identified risks.
- Manage risk assessment projects to ensure findings and recommendations are appropriately addressed and projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Support Physical Security and Critical Infrastructure Program responsibilities associated with initiatives such as the US Department of Homeland Security Buffer Zone Protection Program and special event security for national and significant local events.
- Manage and investigate reports of theft and vandalism, conduct investigations, identify trends, coordinate with law enforcement agencies as appropriate, and develop strategies for preventing future losses from theft and vandalism.
- Support other Corporate Security Program responsibilities, such as the Metal Theft Initiative, which is designed to assist the company and law enforcement combat copper theft; and, the Work Place Violence Prevention Program.
- Effectively interact with internal business units, private industry counterparts and federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Respond to non-regular business hours security calls. This position requires availability on a 247 basis to provide guidance to staff on resolution of security matters, as necessary.

A four year college degree is required; graduation from an accredited law school is preferred.

At least six years successful experience in law enforcement conducting violent crimeproperty crime cases is required; experience managing investigative programs is preferred.
