As the Director of Business and Industries Engagement (BIE) of Global Division 3, you play a critical role in providing strategic leadership and supporting Singapore’s business community as they navigate international expansion. You will be responsible for leading a team, developing impactful engagement strategies, managing engagement assets for our business communities, and overseeing the implementation of the Business Engagement (BE) and International Engagement (IE) teams’ plans.

To succeed in this role, you should possess a diverse skillset encompassing strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking, exceptional relationship-building skills, adaptability, and a deep understanding of global business dynamics.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Lead the development and implementation of strategic engagement methodologies and strategies for our business communities including, but not limited to:

- Formulating engagement strategies for our key communities.
- Overseeing the management of engagement assets and ensuring effective outreach to our key communities. This involves close collaboration with other departments and divisions within SBF to stay updated on key initiatives.
- Collaborating with both external and internal stakeholders to identify key themes and plan the content for upcoming issues of our outreach assets.
- Taking the lead in identifying potential partners and establishing strong working relationships with them.

2. Oversee the implementation of the BE and IE teams’ strategies relating to targeted industries, communities, and partnerships engagement including, but not limited to:

- Providing strategic direction and guidance to the team, ensuring the successful execution of engagement plans.
- Collaborating with others within SBF to align engagement efforts and drive key initiatives.
- Setting the direction for the teams to develop the annual work plans.
- Managing and directing the teams to fulfil their work plans and meet corporate KPIs.
- Take responsibility for the overall performance and outcomes of the BIE team.

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum requirement of more than 8 years of relevant working experience is required, while consideration with more experience may be considered for the Senior Director position.
- Solid understanding of the needs of SMEs in their internationalisation journeys and ability to offer advisory services.
- Proven track record in leading teams, providing guidance, and motivating staff to achieve exceptional results.
- Detail oriented and highly organised.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken; including a proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and positive attitude, exemplary work ethic and a collaborative mindset towards teamwork.
