**POSITION PURPOSE**:
Product Control overview:
Fully integrated in the IT and Operations (ITO) department, Product Control covers a large panel of operational activities aiming to monitor the life cycles of the trades. It starts from the portfolio creation for trade booking, the trade booking itself, the monitoring of the events associated to the trades, the P&L calculation, explanation and validation on a day-to-day basis and the monitoring of the trading activity, ensuring that the traders mark their books to fair value prices. It also encompasses the confirmation of trades with counterparties.

P&L CONTROLS team overview:
The P&L CONTROLS team operates out of several locations (e.g. London, Paris, Lisbon, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Bangalore, New York and Sao Paulo). The team aims to validate on a daily basis the P&L figures and to explain them with market moves, related risks as well as the impacts of the new trades booked and the events impacting these trades (corporate actions, expiries, exercises, fixings, etc.).
- Purpose: The role is fully integrated in the P&L Controls department and offers the individual a unique opportunity to grow and develop his/her talent. The main purpose of this position is to guarantee the timely and accuracy delivery of P&L on a daily basis. Considering the recent nearshore / offshore initiatives, it has become more important to define transversal roles serving as an oversight, reinforcing best practices across locations and acting as point of escalation to resolve any issue or concern as soon as possible. The person will report directly to the Head of Valuations and PnL for APAC. This function, involves interactions with a number P&L of teams across various locations.

**Responsibilities**

The position is reporting to the Head of Valuations and PnL for APAC.

The key responsibilities in this position will be:

- Providing daily support to and monitoring the daily and End-Of-Month P&L deliveries, including Official P&L, Step reval and Risk-Based P&L explains
- Coordinating efforts required from P&L Production to answer queries received from P&L Management, Management Controls or other stakeholders
- Acting as Point of escalation for P&L production supervisors as well as key stakeholders (e.g. FO, Finance, Risk)
- Preparing and organising trainings for SMEs based in other locations or nearshore / offshore Production teams, expanding knowledge and enforcing best practices
- Being involved as expert for projects affecting global Markets business lines, participating in testing and validation of changes
- Facilitating the implementation of additional controls on the back of audit or regulatory requirements
- Participating to the maintenance, review and prioritisation of issue resolutions affecting P&L batches.

**SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS (IF REQUIRED)**:
**EXPERIENCE**:

- Material prior experience working in some control function within an investment bank in an international environment, including some management experience.
- Working experience with P&L explain (Step Revaluation as well as Risk Based Explains) and good knowledge / understanding of the risks.
