**Additional Role Description**:
As a Data Center Facilities Specialist you will operate, monitor, and support physical facilities conditions. Some of these duties will include heating and cooling of air and water, power supply, generators and UPS systems, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems.
In this role, you'll act as support for the Facilities Technicians in their work, managing the maintenance contracts of all facility related systems such as water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC, UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems. You'll lead cost control and contractor management for maintenance tasks and small projects, and will work closely with the site Environment, Health and Safety department to ensure the safe operations. You will ensure that contractors deliver quality services according to agreed key performance indicators and that safety measures are being performed.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare statement of work (SoW) for critical and non-critical facility operations contracts.
- Obtain facilities related vendor price quotes, negotiate and prepare purchase orders, and reviews/approves invoices.
- Perform facility system operation and maintenance expense forecasting and budgeting.
- Work with support service vendors to resolve conflicts and issues under the direction of the Facility Manager.
- Plan and action on assignments under varying degrees of supervision. Act as the point of contact for small to medium projects as assigned by the Facility Manager.
**Minimum qualifications**:
- Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in accounting, managing accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience in vendor relationships and contract management.
- Experience providing support for budgeting, forecasting, and purchase orders.
- Experience in negotiating with vendor companies
