Roles & Responsibilities

The Tax & Multilateral Organisations Management team supports ESG to enable our Singapore enterprises to gain access to financing and in-country connections. Organisations managed include the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the International Chamber of Commerce. The department also supports ESG's vision by developing and implementing tax policy to support Singapore's companies capability development, internationalisation, and to maintain Singapore's position as the leading trading hub in Asia. The team is responsible for:

- Reviewing the tax policies and guidelines, taking into account the changing business environment and needs of companies;
- Monitoring international tax developments; and
- Ensuring that the tax incentives deliver the intended policy outcomes.

As Deputy Director, Tax & Multilateral Organisations, you will be responsible for leading a team of financial development professionals to:

- Cultivate the multilateral organisations
- Undertake joint initiatives
- Facilitate introductions to our local enterprises and monitor progress
- Achieve ESG's tax policy objectives through reviews of existing tax incentives
- Manage communication with key stakeholders (government agencies/ministries and industry partners)
- Oversee the scheme administration of ESG's tax incentives, including ensure relevant audit and reporting procedures are adhered to
- Stay attuned to international tax developments and assess the impact on Singapore companies
- Formulate ESG's position for the negotiation of Avoidance of Double taxation treaties with other countries
- Background in Tax, Accountancy or Economics, with at least 10 years of experience in tax and/or policy implementation. A background in tax advisory will be an added advantage.
- Able to work across the organisation to understand problem statements for the enterprise landscape and to suggest solutions
- Experienced in senior stakeholder management
- Possess good interpersonal, writing and communication skills
- Global mindset, enterprising and a team player
