Our client is a leading international bank who have a strong presence in South-East across both consumer and corporate banking.

They are looking for a Head of Operations to oversee a team of staff across a number of functions, including Trade Finance/Trade Operations, Remittances/Settlements, Private Wealth and Loan Operations.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage staff across Trade Finance/Trade Operations, Remittances/Settlements, Private Wealth and Loan Operations.
- Planning for Operations Services to be in-line with the Group’s business plans.
- Handle operations related products, risk control assessment, BCM, external and internal audits, system projects, process reengineering, and improvement initiatives
- Work closely with Front Offices, Middle Offices, other Back Offices and clients to bring an increase in business, as well as solutions to problems faced while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Participate in meetings, evaluations, selection and testing of new platforms and bank’s core systems.
- Annual review of policies and operation procedures related to operations, operations risk control and BCM.
- Handling of operations services outsourced to Head Office and annual review of SLAs.
- Carry out emergency response, reporting and follow-up for all significant incidents and operation risk/customer complaints.
- Review operational accuracy, approving relevant certificates and documents as authorized.

**Role requirements**:

- Experience across all areas of operations, specifically Trade Finance/Trade Operations and Remittances/Settlements.
- Prior experience working in Corporate Banking Operations
- Ability to converse in spoken Mandarin and read Mandarin (ability to write Mandarin is an advantage but not essential) - due to need to liaise with stakeholders who prefer to communicate in Mandarin
- Experience of Avaloq would be desirable.
