Responsilities- Facilities Management: Oversee and maintain all facilities within School, including classrooms, studios, and highly specialized labs and studios. Ensure these spaces are well-maintained, properly equipped, and meet the highest standards of safety and functionality.- Equipment Upgrading: Collaborate with faculty, students, and researchers to understand their equipment and facility needs to propose and implement strategic planning of facilities to ensure the school’s pedagogical and research targets are well supported. Conduct regular assessments and identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and enhancements. Develop and execute plans for procuring facilities-related new equipment and implementing technology-driven solutions.- Operations Coordination: Coordinate and supervise day-to-day operations within school, including workshops, events, and specialized lab usage. Collaborate with faculty, students, and staff to optimize space utilization, ensure efficient resource allocation, and support the smooth functioning of all activities.- Event Management: Work closely with the Publicity and Outreach team and School Operation Team to organize and execute events, exhibitions, and outreach activities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful planning, coordination, and execution of these events, aligning with School's objectives and brand identity.- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for facilities, operations, and event management. Monitor expenses, conduct cost analyses, and ensure effective resource allocation. Collaborate with the School Head of Administration to align budgetary priorities with the strategic goals of the school.- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers. Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repair, and renovation projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, adherence to project timelines, and budgetary constraints.- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations within School. Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols and emergency procedures, specifically tailored to highly specialized labs and studios. Conduct regular risk assessments, provide safety training, and maintain documentation to ensure a safe working environment for staff, faculty, students, and researchers.- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with faculty, students, and researchers to understand their specific needs and provide effective support services. Foster strong relationships and communication channels to address concerns, facilitate collaborative projects, and enhance the overall student and faculty experience.- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term strategic plans for facilities, operations, and events, aligning with School strategic direction. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements relevant to specialized labs, studios, and event management. Propose innovative solutions and initiatives to enhance School reputation as a leading institution in art, design, and media.

**Requirements**:
- Diploma or higher qualification in facilities management, engineering, arts, design, or a related field. Additional related professional certifications are advantageous.- Strong knowledge of building operations and facilities management.- Good knowledge of specialized lab equipment, studio requirements, event planning, and emerging technologies relevant to the field.- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently.- Knowledge of health, safety, and security regulations applicable to specialized labs, studios, and events.- Proven experience in facilities management, with a focus on specialized labs, studios, and event management, preferably in an educational or creative institution.- At least eight (8) years of related experience in Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) environment.- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in working collaboratively with diverse functions and fostering a collaborative work environment.- Budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to analyse data, prepare accurate reports, and make informed decisions.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, students, researchers, external partners, and the public.-
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
