The Area Director of Procurement is empowered to manage all day-to-day operational procurement and risks for a designated cluster of hotel and related properties in Singapore, translating regional strategy into local execution.
Key Responsibilities
**Business Partnering**: Serve as the primary Business Partner for property leadership within the area. Participate actively in operations meetings, translating regional strategies into local plans and constructively challenging non-standard specifications.
**Operational Leadership & Risk Management**: Lead procurement operations, efficiency and compliance. Ensure adherence to the three-quotations rule, providing proper justification and future-proofing exceptions.
**Consolidation & Savings**: Drive consolidation of spend within the area using a category-based approach. Develop and execute a list of cost-saving opportunities through competitive tenders and sourcing alternatives.
**Supplier Management & Sourcing**: Ensure a robust supplier base exists for all categories. Strategically evaluate and appoint authorized importers for overseas products.
**Cross-Border Support**: Act as a key buyer and sourcing contact for sister country teams.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**: 7-10 years in procurement/finance with multi-property or complex operations management.
**Education**: Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field; Finance/Audit background a plus.
**Skills**: Strong operational management, negotiation, team leadership, and problem-solving.
