**Responsibilities**
- Work with Finance Manager and Director of Operations to develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
- Research and evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, and services
- Coordinate with ministries/ departments to determine supply needs, provide consultation and support on procurement-related matters
- Work with ministries/ departments to select prospective vendors and negotiate for best prices and contracts
- Prepare tender documents, and facilitate tender processes
- Conduct risk assessment and due diligence for approved vendor management
- Develop/ evolve procurement strategy and policy, and oversee its implementation
- Review purchase requisitions in the procurement system to ensure compliance to policy and procurement guidelines
- Review and process purchase orders, monitor vendor’s performance and on-time delivery
- Ensure quality of procured items and address problems when they arise
- Review seller’s performance based on quality of goods received
- Maintain records of goods/ services ordered and received
- Build and maintain approved vendor list and vendor relationships
- Identify areas of improvement in procurement policy, process, and system; and execute action plans
- Onboard new staff and provide refresher training on procurement policy, process, and system
- Conduct regular budget/ capex analysis and provide management reporting
- Stay current with purchasing trends and ensure relevance of procurement policy

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in procurement
- Formal tertiary education in Supply Chain management, logistic or business administration preferred
- Knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
- Fast learner, meticulous, well-organised, able to work with speed and accuracy
- Strong analytical, communication and IT skills, with a keen interest in system and workflow enhancement
- Able to work both independently and as a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Business Central and Jet Reporting would be an advantage
