Overview:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods, and maintaining a well-organized and safe work environment. This role involves assisting with receiving, storing, and shipping materials, as well as contributing to the overall smooth flow of warehouse activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Receiving and Documentation**: Assist in the accurate and timely data entry of documentation into the ERP system. Verify parts against documentation (GRNs) and report any discrepancies.
- ** Material Handling**: Support the movement of parts in and out of the receiving area. Assist with the unloading of lorries (small & big) and ensure the proper arrangement of materials, including metal work (MW), on the production floor and surrounding areas.
- ** Inventory Management**: Assist in the binning of verified parts at designated locations. Support the reclassification of binned parts as needed. Organize binned parts according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out), shelf life, and other relevant criteria.
- ** Order Fulfillment and Shipping**: Assist in pulling finished goods (FG) machines from the production floor. Prepare machines and accessories with crating labels according to container movement. Support the smooth stuffing of containers as per the shipping plan. Assist with loading and unloading lorries for external warehouse transfers.
- ** Coordination and Communication**: Coordinate with the storekeeper to confirm parts as per documentation. Follow up on problem Purchase Orders (POs) that do not match documentation. Follow up with Quality Assurance (QA) on urgent parts and the binning of verified parts. Communicate with shipping regarding daily stuffing plans.
- ** Warehouse Organization and Maintenance**: Ensure passageways are clear to facilitate the movement of FG to the crating area. Maintain a neat and tidy arrangement of all FG stock. Assist in maintaining both dock levelers at the loading bay in good working order.
- ** Crating Support**: Coordinate with craters to crate machines as per container movement. Check and adjust crater assignments based on workload and circumstances. Check and update the requirements for heavy equipment used in stuffing and by craters. Prepare and arrange machines and accessories with crating labels as per container movement. Prepare shipment requirements, such as crate labels, for external warehouse shipments.
- ** Additional Tasks**: Offload additional lorries as needed. Assist with unwrapping and moving metal work (MW) to production. Arrange standby machines in case of shipping plan changes. Update the Shipping Machines Status according to container movement. Update and publish the monthly crating plan based on the build plan. Conduct daily morning meetings with the Operations Manager and shipping department.
