**About the Role**:
Are you a friendly and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Food Service Host/Hostess to join our team and create a welcoming first impression for our guests. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring the dining area is well-maintained and orderly. You’ll work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience from start to finish. **Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Host Area Management**: Ensure that the host area is clean, well-supplied, and neatly organized. This includes dusting and cleaning the Mama Shop, magazine doors, and entrance display, as well as checking tables, chairs, and the floor for cleanliness and neatness.
- **Stock Management**: Regularly check that Popsicle Sticks are well stocked and available for guests.
- **Guest Assistance**: Provide guests with concise information about the restaurant and assist with any questions they may have.
- **Customer Complaint Resolution**: Resolve guest complaints amicably and escalate any concerns beyond your control to the appropriate supervisor.
- **Reservations Management**: Manage the reservation system and provide the Manager on Duty (MOD) with a daily report of the number of customers for schedule planning.
- **Multitasking**: Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- **Communication**: Communicate any special events or dietary restrictions to the MOD, ensuring that the restaurant’s operations are aligned with guest needs.
- **Guest Interaction**: Greet guests upon arrival, direct them to their table, and ensure they are seated properly. Make sure they are satisfied with their table and wish them an enjoyable dining experience.
- **Customer Service**: Provide the highest level of courtesy and hospitality to guests waiting to be seated and offer assistance when necessary.
- **Phone Etiquette**: Maintain a courteous and professional tone when answering calls, whether communicating with clients or colleagues.
- **Calm Under Pressure**: Stay composed and manage tasks efficiently during busy times, handling pressure gracefully.
- **Floor Assistance**: Assist on the restaurant floor with table resets and other side-work tasks, including clearing plates and glasses, as needed.
- **Guest Experience**: Offer to help guests take photos inside the Mama Shop and ensure a positive experience.
- **Farewell Guests**: Thank each departing guest with a smile and make eye contact, ensuring they feel appreciated.
- **Team Collaboration**: Establish strong relationships with Managers, colleagues, and guests, and contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and smooth-running restaurant environment.
