The Opportunity

**We are the exclusive recruiter for this exciting new role with The Premier League's in house IP enforcement team in Singapore.**

The Premier League is looking for a commercial solicitor to work in its in-house IP enforcement team in Singapore, assisting the business in protecting its broadcasting rights around the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This will include working on all elements of the team’s enforcement strategy, particularly civil and criminal litigation pursued against those infringing the Premier League’s audio-visual rights.

They support and provide a framework for youth development, they protect the organisation’s intellectual property, support the wider game and community programmes, undertake international development work and liaise with governing bodies and other leagues.

The Premier League's hybrid-working model also allows you some variety on your place of work, offering you the chance to work from home on some days each week. Where possible, you will attend the office or site visits in line with company policy.

**The role**

You will support the Senior Commercial Solicitor - APAC in formulating and implementing enforcement, lobbying and communication strategies to protect the Premier League’s audio-visual rights across the APAC region, including:

- Working across all elements of the team’s administrative, civil and criminal litigation against those infringing the Premier League’s intellectual property
- Liaising closely with local counsel, law enforcement and/or broadcasters around the region across all types of litigation processes.
- Assisting with the team’s anti-piracy consumer awareness initiatives, working alongside the Premier League’s Communications and Marketing teams
- Helping to build relationships and local understanding with policy makers in each territory to ensure adequate legislation is in place to protect the Premier League’s intellectual property.

You will be required to work as part of a small team and be expected to oversee a variety of cases. Your efforts will be part of a broader global strategy and will involve regular liaison with other members of the enforcement team in both the London and Singapore Offices.

**Requirements for the role**
- High quality academic background and robust legal training from a reputable law firm or recognised in-house legal department.
- Experience in litigation, preferably in IP enforcement matters.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal issues and solutions in an articulate, precise and clear manner to individuals from all levels of the business.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team, with a proactive approach to all tasks and responsibilities.
- The ability to think laterally and commercially.
