Facility Technician

Job Summary:
The facility Technician / Officer is responsible for all maintenance matters in ensuring that it is dealt with efficiently, effectively, and safely. Managing external contractors when needed to achieve necessary Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) procedures. You will be monitoring and checking all maintenance areas and carrying out maintenance procedures to a high standard ensuring all WH&S regulations are followed.
Essential Job Functions / Duties:
- Conduct regular checks to ensure warehouse facility and equipment are maintained to be safe and operating effectively and efficiently
- Perform basic troubleshooting of faulty electrical installation, / M&E Systems / Air Conditioning systems, etc
- Supervision of term contractors for daily cleaning of the facility, pest control, periodic servicing of the air-conditioning system and ad-hoc repairs works, etc
- Perform handy repair and reinstatement works like painting, changing of lights, furniture, plumbing, etc
- Ensure adequate safety precautions on site
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the site
- Keep all maintenance records up to date
- Ensure cost control of the repairs and maintenance supplies budget
- Compile and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
- Manage and maintain all controlled documents for the department
- Other duties as directed from time to time
**Requirements**:
- Minimum Nitec in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering / Facilities Management or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in M&E
- Good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels in the organization
- CERT Trained personnel has an advantage
