As a Lead Engineer (Java) at our company, you will provide technical leadership, design robust systems, actively contribute to coding efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with our business goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Technical leadership**: You will take on a leadership role within our development team, guiding and mentoring other engineers. Your expertise in Java and software development best practices will help drive the technical direction of our projects in line with the business requirements.
- **Architectural Design**: You will be responsible for designing and architecting Java-based solutions, ensuring that they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with our business objectives.
- **Technology Selection**: Assess and choose appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, and tools to guarantee system reliability, performance, and scalability, and seamlessly integrate them into the overarching architecture.
- **Hands-on Leadership**: Leads a project delivery team comprising up to 6 members, offering technical guidance, active participation in coding, addressing architectural and design challenges, ensuring system quality and maintainability, and effectively managing technical risks associated with the project.

**Key Requirements**:

- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with additional experience within the Payments (Payment Gateway, Wallets, etc) industry considered a valuable asset
- Designs and implements backend systems, encompassing module division, interface design, data flow, and code development, in order to align with business objectives
- Possesses experience in a team lead role
- Comfortable for business travel every month
